Hi Friends,
Hope this finds each of you doing great! As many of you probably know I went through open heart surgery in April of this year. The doctors did four bypasses on my heart. We are back on the road now and trying to recover as many of you know that has been through open heart or have a loved one that has it takes time to get back to 100%. My doctors have been pleased with my recovery thus far.
I'd like to thank everyone who has prayed for us and all the churches that reached out to us the 21/2 months we were out of work. Had it not been for all of you wonderful giving people I don't know what we would have done. God used so many people to help meet our needs and we do not take it lightly. I am so humbled by the willingness of people to help us.
My family has been out of this world while I was recovering. From preparing meals to just walking around the yard with me those first few days were such a blessing. My wonderful wife (Mary) has been such a blessing! From taking care of me and seeing that I had everything I needed to reading the Bible to me the first few weeks as my vision was affected by the surgery.
My two Grand daughters Jaida and Mia was so good during my recovery, its amazing how careful a 4 & 6 year old can know to be. They just wanted papaw to get better so I could play with them again. Well let me tell you things are getting back to normal. They have been wearing me out lately. What a blessing to be able to play and spend time with them.
Like to give a shout out to our great new friends in Canada, Pastor Gary Barrett at Full Gospel Church. We just returned from being in campmeeting in Nova Scotia. Wow what a beautiful place! What a great church! What great lobster!!!! Mary and myself are looking forward to going back next year already. How refreshing to see a great move of God in another part of the world.
Better run for now, looking forward to seeing all our annual friends on the road. Please continue to pray for us as we are gettting back in the swing of things.
Special thanks to the great people of the Little Mountain Church and Lumberport Baptist! Words can never express how thankful we are for you folks. Thanks also to Tracy and Lib for just being there for Mary and myself during my heart surgery and recovery. What a great help to us you both have been. Makes a difference when you have been through what someone else is going through.
Until next time, God's speed to you all!
